Bazlus Samad was among the 12 people accused in the case filed following the collapse of the eight-storey Rana Plaza in Savar, which had housed five clothing factories, a shopping mall and a bank.
Other accused include Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana, Ether Tex Ltd chairman Anisur Rahman, also known as Anisuzzaman, and Phantom Apparels Ltd and Phantom Tack Ltd chairman Aminul Islam.
